When I first envisioned my professional life, it was not in high-tech. When I was young, I wanted to create stories with animated characters that could bring colorful dreams to life on paper. I collected comics, loved to play arcade games, read Louis L’Amour westerns and tried my best to do well at school. The Best Places for Pay in STEM Jobs – 2017 Edition

Employment growth among jobs in the STEM field varies widely. According to the Department for Professional Employees, the number of job opportunities for aerospace engineers increased by 53% between 2005 and 2015. Within the same period, the number of jobs for biologists and computer programmers fell by 28% and 17.4%, respectively. Pay within the STEM field also varies by occupation as well as location.
