STEMConnector Wrap-Up

An employer led event where companies discussed the future of best practice strategies to boost the STEM talent pipeline. Located at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C., the Global STEM Talent Summit 2017 created solutions for developing the next generation of skilled talent who will drive innovation. With over 40 strategic partners in (75+ by 2018) totaling combined revenues of more than $2 trillion and more than 6 million employees, GSTS is not a one-off but rather part of a unique sequence of strategically connected summits supported by a large coalition of strong, impactful partners with exemplary leadership capabilities that define the future of STEM talent. The Global STEM Talent Summit, with the coalition and voice of its strategic partners, has become the recognized authority in STEM talent thought leadership.

The Global STEM Talent Summit has grown from an awareness movement to an employer-led and talent-focused event, and soon transforming into a joint employer and talent led conference. In 2016 the Global STEM Talent Summit was the first employer led conference that brought together industry partners who addressed the STEM talent gap that exists in our country. As the GSTS initiative continues to progress, a strategic roadmap has been created in order to identify scalable STEM strategies, close the STEM talent development gap, and upskill the existing workforce.

Executives from the nation’s top employers focused on pressing issues in STEM such as strategies to approach this next generation’s STEM workforce, upskilling the country’s current STEM workforce, and public/private partnerships within STEM industry.
